Family owned and operated since 1962.... |
Originally called Oak Haven Trailer Court, the park was owned and ran by Jim and and Rose Valentine. In August of 1962 Bill Zufall Sr. and his son, Bill Jr., bought the park and changed the name to Zufall's Mobile Home Park. Bill Jr. and his wife, Roberta (we all know her by Bobbie), moved to Redding at this time from Martinez, CA to run the park. Bill and Bobbie moved into space #7. A year later Bill Sr. and his wife, Evelyn, moved up from Martinez, to nearby Redding.
Soon after the Zufalls began making improvements and expanding the park. Doing most the labor themselves, the park doubled in size over the next 20 years. It was common to see Ron and John Zufall, sons of Bobbie and Bill, working around the park during the summers of the 70's and 80's.
The park is now owned by Bobbie, Ron, John and Robert Zufall (Bill Sr.'s second son). Bobbie serves as the park manager, taking care of the day to day tasks; you can often find her in the park office. Over the summers Bobbie often employs her grandsons, Andrew, Adam and Blake, to help around the park. The Zufalls love working together and enjoy treating all the residents like part of their family!
